Back from Training

I am back from my trip to chilly Wenatchee, brrrr, it was cold over there. Part of my trip was a two day Statler Stitcher training with Susan Smith, a Certified Creative Studio 4.1 Trainer. My skill level is improving, E2Es are pretty easy, working on more custom work. Class was great and I had fun spending time with my Statler Siblings. Now I am back home and ready to spend some quality time quilting. I made this quilt in remembrance of my mother in law, who passed last March. The quilt was made with two Cherry Bali Pops and quilted using Kim Diamonds Elizabeth block, Butterfly border and Heart Vine sashing.

American Heroes Quilt

This is a quilt I made mostly from my friend Patty Cole’s patriotic scraps (some are from me.) I got the borders on last Thursday and threw it on the frame today. I quilted it with Kim Diamonds Stars and Loops – a good basic for patriotic quilts. This quilt will be distributed to an injured serviceman through Stray Threads, one of the guilds I belong to. I think it turned out well, I hope it makes someone happy!

Here I am, surfing my quilt as it finishes stitching. The quilt I’m working on is one of mine, made from a Bali pop using a pattern called Key of Life. The quilting design is Anne Brights design named Baroque. It quilted up beautifully, just look at the pictures!
