Karen Stone at The Stitchin Post

Hi Everyone! I have just returned from 4 days of classes with Karen Stone at The Stitchin Post in Sisters, Oregon. Wonderful quilts, wonderful classes and wonderful ladies. The llama below, nicknamed Mr. Crabby Pants, lived outside my room at Sisters. Everyday they would put llama kibble out for the guests to feed the llamas. Boy, those llamas are cute!

Greetings from New Hampshire!

Greetings fellow quilters from Manchester, NH, the site of Machine Quilters Exhibition (MQX) New England. I am so thrilled be be here. MQX is the center of the universe for machine quilters, including a wonderful quilt show, vendors and a lot of classes. I am at my third class for today, all with nationally recognized instructors. Fantastic experience!

I love Owls!

Sally Cantwell made this adorable owl quilt for her granddaughter. The owls are appliqued by hand and are so cute! The quilt was custom quilted using several patterns including Anne Bright’s Flower Border. Great job Sally!

The Treat Quilt!

My friend Kathy Harris made this quilt for her granddaughter out of fabrics showing her favorite treats. Yummy! The quilt was quilted with hot pink thread and Anne Bright’s Cupcakes b2b – so there are even more treats. What fun! This will be a well loved quilt!

Hip to be Square!

I made this quilt for my stepdaughter. The pattern is Hip to be Square, made with fabrics from the Pine Needle in Portland Oregon. So bright, fun and modern! It was quilted using Anita Shakelford’s Modern Squares using Hot Pink thread. This quilt makes me so happy!
