It’s a “Page Turner”

A friend of mine commented that I hadn’t posted much this month and the reason is that I have been out of town attending training seminars. The first was in Sioux City, Iowa with Anita Shackelford and Joan Knight, which was very educational and a lot of fun. The second was MQX West in Portland, OR where I took 10 classes, also very educational. My brain is very full.

One of the things I learned in Portland was how to do the Page Turner technique, named after Page Johnson, a very accomplished quilter. I decided to use the technique on Patty Cole’s Bear Paw quilt (with her permission). I chose the quilting design Victorian from Designs by Vickie along with wool batting and Glide Military Gold thread. I think it turned out beautifully.

Jane is ready for Christmas!

You may remember from previous posts that Jane is making quilts for her family and for her in-laws for Christmas. She has brought many quilts in for quilting to achieve this goal. Well, the end is in sight, Jane brought in her last two Christmas quilts and a baby quilt to be quilted. The first Christmas quilted was quilted using Anne Bright’s Bubbles, the second Christmas quilt was quilted using Hillbrook Studio’s Simply Roses Panto and lastly the baby quilt was quilted using Anne Bright’s Skyline. Great job Jane! You are ready for Christmas!
