Peach Quilts.com - Quilt Preparation
Your quilt is important to us. In order to guarantee the highest quality and satisfaction in the finished product, please use the following guidelines:
Quilt Top:
Quilt Back:
Batting:
Borders:
Trim any loose threads to prevent them from showing through the quilt top.
Make sure all seams are pressed flat in desired direction.
Please mark top of quilt with a pin or note.
Quilt back needs to be a total of 8 inches longer and wider than the quilt top. Example: If your quilt top is 50 x 50 then the back needs to be 58 x 58. If your backing is bigger than the 8 inches longer or wider, then it needs to be trimmed to the correct size otherwise a $15 service charge will be applied.
If you need to piece the backing, use a 1/2 inch seam allowance and press open.
If quilt back is directional, please mark top of quilt back with a pin or note. Please note, it is very difficult to center backings. If you have a special design on the back, I would recommend making sure it is off center.
Please wash and iron your backing fabric if it is flannel or batik. Otherwise, please press the backing fabric really well.
If you provide your own batting, please make sure it is a total of 8 inches longer and wider than the quilt top. Example: If your quilt top is 50 x 50 then make sure the batting is 58 x 58. If the batting is bigger than the 8 inches longer or wider, then it needs to be trimmed to the correct size, otherwise a $15 service charge will be applied.
Please take care when attaching borders to your quilt top. Be sure to measure them carefully. If you have any questions about this, please give me a call at 425-483-9801.
